NFL Approves Penalty For Kneeling During National Anthem
Whoa - this is a big one. On Wednesday, NFL owners voted to approve that a 15-yard penalty be for enforced if players were to kneel during the US National Anthem. If players do not want to participate in the national anthem, they may remain in the locker room without any penalties.

His actions initiated somewhat of a national divide, and he was ultimately blackballed from the NFL. Many NFL players and other national figures supported him in his actions, but he had his fair share of dissenters with the opposite viewpoint.
