Mater Dei edges out St. John Bosco in a hard fought rematch battle. Both teams had stellar defensive play, keeping the game from ever getting too one-sided. Mater Dei was able to take advantage of two Bosco Braves offensive miscues, ending up with defensive takeaways. Momentum seemed to be going in St. John Bosco’s favor after a blocked field goal by Senior Chris Steele turned into a touchdown run by Senior Trent McDuffie - however Bosco missed the ensuing PAT, and turned the ball over shortly after with a thrown interception, which gave back Mater Dei the momentum upswing.

Mater Dei controlled the clock for the remainder of the game and was able to hold onto the 17-13 edge for the win and Back-to-Back championship.
