Who Should You Start? Fantasy Football Player Comparison

See this content in the original post

Do you play fantasy football? Who do you use for your fantasy football trade analyzer? Here we give you three fantasy football trade analyzers to help you finish strong and win that fantasy office pool.

Here are some quick thoughts on the three most used fantasy football applications along with suggestions for the best fantasy football trade analyzers once you start to make moves mid-season in your fantasy league.

Yahoo is very user friendly. It’s easier and more user friendly to use than the ESPN application with fantasy teams and it is easy to toggle / make changes to your fantasy squad. The Yahoo app is great if you are running more than one fantasy team to help you make decisions for your different fantasy players. Also, the functionality of viewing fantasy players and changing your fantasy roster is easy. Yahoo provides a ton of data and analytics, which also helps with your decision making for your fantasy football trades.

The NFL fantasy football tools are pretty similar to Yahoo, however, they may get the edge in functionality. The NFL has a pretty cool feature in that they notify you in real time of actual player trades that may affect your fantasy football league.

ESPN seems to be less functional when toggling through the different action screens. They have a drop down menu option instead of buttons, which can get a bit clunky when you are trying to make multiple moves with your fantasy players and fantasy teams.

Part of the strategy in fantasy football is getting to fantasy players before the next guy in your league can... so functionality and easy of use is extremely important.

After you’ve selected your fantasy football team, there are several tools that you can use for your office fantasy pool.

FantasySP

The first service that you can use for your fantasy football trade analyzer is FantasySP. This tool is pretty cool in that it has a dynamic search capability that allows you to compare trades of multiple players at the same time. This is probably the most dynamic tool there is on the market, allowing you access in-depth analysis for every fantasy football trade and why you should or shouldn’t make a fantasy trade.

RAZZBALL

This tool is another dynamic fantasy football trade analyzer in that it provides you with historical data side-by-side to help you develop clarity while making your fantasy football trade decisions. This fantasy football trade analyzer shows you the projected points AND projected statistics for the players, while standard fantasy football trade calculators just show a mythical or ‘black box’ projected point total. The only downside to this tool is that it requires a paid subscription, but the good thing is that you can still get access to the tool for free with a 7-day free trial.

FANTASY PROS

This is another great trade tool with a crazy amount of in-depth analysis. The Fantasy Pros offer the following features:

  • Instant analysis on whether or not the trade helps your team

  • View power rankings before and after the trade

  • Support for uneven trades (ex: 2 for 1, 3 for 2 trades)

One downside is that this services also requires a paid subscription to use, but considering the edge it may give you with your fantasy trades, it may be worth it.

Let us know down in the comments how your fantasy squad is doing this year!
